It has come to our attention that there is some possible catfishing* activity on Kik that is targeting both AGW posters and commenters. Please beware of any groups organized for posters. If you are unsure if the group is legit or not, perhaps contact one or more of the well known verified posters they name as members to see if it is legit.Also beware of Kik accounts claiming to be posters here. Again, if you are unsure, contact the person directly to confirm if it is real or not.We have a no mentioning of social media policy here partially for this reason.We are addressing this to protect our posters and readers. As mods, were are volunteers and not employees of Reddit. We cannot control anything that goes on outside of our sub. Please take caution with any PM’s you may get and on any social media such as Kik, and with sharing personal information in general.UPDATE: It’s come to our attention that someone is claiming to be an AGW mod on Kik and asking posters to do verification via live chat and threatening removal of posts or manipulation of post popularity if they do not. Do not fall for this. The only AGW mods are the ones you see in the sidebar, and mod business will only be conducted on Reddit.
